Bacchus is the quintessential English still white wine variety. Comparable to French Sauvignon Blanc in some ways, it often displays fresh green fruit and floral aromas.
This vintage of Bacchus has been entirely made and bottled on-site in our very own winery.
The 2018 has flavours of apple, elderflower, ripe citrus, with medium acidity. Our Bacchus makes a beautiful aperitif, or is excellent with salads and asparagus.
For those who enjoy:
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Fresh, crisp wines
Our winemaking ethos
As of 2018, all of our wines are made right here on site by our family (with the help of consultant Simon Day). The grapes travel approximately 250m from the vineyard to the winery.
Our winemaking ethos is to produces characterful wines that represent the grape variety, the vintage, and our boutique size. We aim to make as few interventions as possible - never deacidifying, fining, and only filtering when needed. We also aim to reduce our sulphur usage as much as possible.
Our Bacchus is served at:
Ynyshir (Snowdonia)
Hampton Manor (Birmingham)
Harborne Kitchen (Birmingham)
Lumiere (Cheltenham)
